Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Payment Terms

• Personalized Ceremony, Intimate Ceremony and Grand Ceremony: a 50% deposit secures your date. The deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due 21 days before your ceremony date.
• All other packages — Legal Signing, Simply Married, and In-Home, City Hall or Park ceremonies: full payment is required at booking. There is no 50% deposit option, and no date is reserved until full payment is received.

2. Cancellation by the Client

A cancellation is effective on the date your written notice is received by email. Every ceremony fee, rehearsal fee, deposit and add-on follows these two rules:

• More than 30 days before the ceremony: amounts paid are refunded, less the non-refundable deposit (where a deposit applies) and a non-refundable $150 consultation and administration fee.
• 30 days or less before the ceremony: no refund. All amounts paid are non-refundable, including deposits, ceremony fees, rehearsal fees and add-ons.

3. Cancelling After You Have Rescheduled

A rescheduled ceremony remains the same booking. Rescheduling does not restart, extend or reset any cancellation notice period or refund window, and it does not create any new right to a refund. A refund that we already approved and paid in writing before your reschedule was confirmed is not affected, and a reschedule we initiate ourselves — for force majeure, officiant replacement or weather — does not change your refund eligibility.

4. Rescheduling

Reschedule requests must be in writing, at least 14 days before your ceremony date, and are subject to officiant and venue availability. Your new date is confirmed only once we confirm it in writing and any fee below is paid.

• First reschedule, requested 14 or more days ahead: no charge
• Second or later reschedule: $50
• Any reschedule requested 30 days or less before the ceremony: $150

Please read Section 3 above before rescheduling: rescheduling makes everything you have paid non-refundable.

5. Failure to Appear

If you do not appear for your scheduled ceremony without prior written notice, all payments are forfeited. If you later wish to rebook, full payment at the then-current rate applies.

6. Cancellation by Wedding Officiant Canada

If we must cancel a ceremony for any reason other than your breach of the agreement, we will provide a qualified replacement officiant at no extra cost or, if no replacement can be arranged, refund all amounts paid for the affected service. Officiant substitution alone does not entitle you to a refund or fee reduction, and every booking includes our Backup Officiant Guarantee.

7. Weather and Force Majeure

Outdoor ceremonies are subject to weather. If severe weather prevents the ceremony, we will work with you to reschedule at no charge, and that reschedule does not affect your refund eligibility. If your ceremony goes ahead despite the weather, no refund is issued. We recommend arranging an indoor backup location.

Where a ceremony cannot proceed because of a force majeure event (pandemic, natural disaster, government restrictions, civil disturbance), we will first try to arrange a replacement officiant and, if that is not possible, refund all amounts paid for the affected service.

8. Add-Ons and Upgrades

Rehearsals, extended ceremony time, photography, coordination, DJ and other add-ons are subject to the same cancellation and rescheduling rules as the ceremony itself.

9. Processing Fees and Refund Timing

The 3.5% credit card and digital payment processing fee is non-refundable in all circumstances. An approved refund is issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of written confirmation.
